Union Symphony Orchestra performances are held at the Dowd Center Theatre in downtown Monroe. The Dowd Center Theatre is a multi-purpose performing arts facility built in the Art Moderne style. Its newly restored 560-seat theatre and multi-purpose event lobby are perfect for mingling before the concerts start.

Downtown Monroe has nearly 350 on-street, two-hour parking spaces within walking distance of the Dowd Center Theatre. The spaces are governed by two-hour time limits, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. All of our events for the 2022/23 season are on the weekends when parking is free with no time limit.
In addition, downtown Monroe has more than 1,000 parking spaces in public parking lots for visitors planning to spend more time in the area.
