Youth Orchestra

Union Symphony Youth Orchestra

A program of Union Symphony Society, Inc. for music students of the greater Union County area of North Carolina interested in the study and performance of orchestral repertoire. 

Our mission is to:

  1. Provide the youth of the greater Union County area a quality orchestral music education through the performance of classical music,
  2. Educate the community as to the importance of artistic expression in today’s youth and the appreciation of classical music’s positive influence on culture and
  3. Work in cooperation with the Union Symphony Orchestra to enrich the artistic future of Union County and its citizens.
 
 

Union Symphony Youth Orchestra (USYO)

Serves music students through age 21 years who have a minimum of two years formal music instruction. Students will attend music camp and regular rehearsals throughout the year where they will learn and play orchestral repertoire. Union Symphony Prelude Junior String Orchestra

Serves music students through the ninth grade who have a minimum of two years formal music instruction. Students will attend music camp and regular rehearsals throughout the year where they will learn and play orchestral repertoire. Join our email club to request more information about USYO Prelude.

Union Symphony Youth Chamber Players (USCHAP)

Serves music students interested in the study and performance of chamber music. Students learn to communicate within the ensemble and to play without a conductor.
