CUMC Christmas Concert
“Light is dawning: hope, peace and love. Warmth is spreading peace, love and joy.” This past Sunday, under the direction of James O’Dell, Union Symphony Orchestra and Chorus performed the Christmas concert, SMALL, Dancing LIGHT, music by Taylor Scott Davis and text by Terry W. York, published 2016 at Central United Methodist Church with overture by Allegro Strings. The Chorus consisted of thirty eight church/community members with soprano soloists, Vonn Ivy Stone and Vicki Bivens.

Advent Service
First Presbyterian Church of Monroe, presents its Advent Music Service on Sunday, December 10th at 11 AM. The Chancel Choir performs, under the direction of Dy-Ann Sturgis and accompanied by a chamber ensemble of Union Symphony Orchestra. This performance will include selections such as “Gloria,” by Wagner, “Carol for Advent,” by Price and Besig and “Joy to the World,” Melody by Handel. The Ladies Ensemble and The Children’s Choir will each perform a selection.
