Join us for our opening concert and at Mario’s Italian Restaurant following the concert. It’s going to be a big night for great food and entertainment. Make your Sunday a Funday!
Conducted by Richard Rosenberg, the Union Symphony Orchestra will perform Stravinsky’s “Dumbarton Oaks Concerto,” written for a performance at the Georgetown, Washington D.C. estate. “This piece bubbles and bounces with good humor. “Papa” Haydn, the father of the modern Symphony, crossed the English Channel to bid his farewell to the idiom quoting the Cockney busker tune, “Hot Cross Buns” in his “London Symphony,” No. 104,” says Artistic Director Richard Rosenberg.
Dr. David Brooks, pianist, is the solo artist for this event performing Mozart, Piano Concerto No. 23.
Thanks to John & Martha Fisichello, owners of Mario’s Italian Restaurant/John’s Place for hosting our after concert party! Thanks too to Barry Steiger for his work on this event. Mario’s Italian Restaurant is donating 10% of the evening proceeds to Union Symphony.
