Union Symphony Youth Orchestra and Prelude dazzled a great crowd on September 2, 2013 at Marvin Ridge High School in its opening concert, National Treasure. The performance included national music from America and other countries including The Star Spangled Banner. Prior to the concert, students took part in a three day orchestra camp where they rehearsed together for the first time of the 2013-2014 season. Photographs by Luke Johnson.
On behalf of the Union Symphony Board, many thanks to Tom LaJoie, Sabrina Howard, the USYO Staff, our striking and talented USYO Student Musicians and Families, USYO Advisory Board, Marvin Ridge High School, Union County Community Arts Council, Union County Public Schools, our community partners, patrons and friends in attendance (such a lovely, responsive audience) and last but certainly not least—our symphony season sponsors, BetterCarPeople and Big Ring Interactive. It was another impressive leap forward for Union Symphony Youth Orchestra—and truly an afternoon to remember!
